Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineering Director to lead the engineering team and drive their technical strategy in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle, from architecture and design to development and deployment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our technology landscape and product suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute product roadmaps, while providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.

We are looking for a highly experienced engineering leader who can build, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in C#.NET, SQL, and related technologies, as well as proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.

In this role, you will oversee the design and implementation of scalable and robust technical solutions, manage and optimize our infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $220,000 - $230,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. You will also enjoy flexible work arrangements, including a hybrid work model that balances work and life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineering teams.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product teams to define and execute product roadmaps.
  • Architecture and Design: Oversee the design and implementation of scalable and robust technical solutions.
  • Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
  • Strong Technical Background: C#.NET, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Proven Experience: Leading and managing engineering teams.
  • SaaS Experience: Working in a SaaS business.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Agile, Scrum.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
