About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including provisioning, configuration management, virtualisation, storage, networking and more.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux and storage systems, as well as experience working with tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, Airflow, File sync protocols, VMWare and monitoring/logging/reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting and optimising our APAC Linux estate;
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space;
  • Perform resolution and root cause analysis of storage-related issues in collaboration with other teams;
  • Design, deploy and perform capacity management of NAS and SAN devices in SIG's enterprise environment;
  • Working with/implementing/supporting tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, Airflow, File sync protocols, VMWare and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools;
  • Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast);
  • Major projects in the region such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions as required by the business and automating/enhancing what we already have in place (iterate and improve).
