Sig Susquehanna seeks a talented Senior Linux Systems Engineer to enhance its infrastructure team in Sydney. This role will leverage your expertise in Linux and associated technologies to maintain and optimize systems, offering a dynamic environment with diverse technologies such as provisioning, configuration management, virtualization, storage, networking, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing the APAC Linux estate and improving tools and pipelines for scalable growth
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of hardware and software configurations relevant to trading environments, including OS optimization, NICs & kernel tuning, and core isolation
  • Implementing and supporting tooling and systems like Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Supporting and administering storage and backup network infrastructure (SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast)
  • Participating in major projects, such as deploying new trading platforms, implementing new solutions required by the business, and automating/enhancing existing infrastructure

Compensation: Sig Susquehanna offers a competitive salary range between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also receive opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling, with knowledge of data centers/hardware/trading systems an advantage
  • Demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python, or other languages
  • Automation focus with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions
