Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will leverage your expertise in Linux and associated technologies to maintain and optimize our systems, collaborating closely with various teams to deliver scalable and performant systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and optimizing our APAC Linux estate to ensure scalability as the company grows
- Gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with hardware and software configuration relevant to the trading space, including OS optimization, NICs & kernel tuning, and core isolation
- Implementing and supporting tooling and systems such as Puppet, Ansible, OpenStack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK, and more)
- Administering and supporting our storage and backup network infrastructure, encompassing SAN, NAS, DAS technologies like NetApp, Pure, GPFS, and Vast
- Leading major projects in the region, such as deploying new trading platforms, implementing new solutions required by the business, and automating/enhancing existing systems

We offer competitive employee benefits, including a salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional perks and benefits.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A solid background in administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling, with knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems an advantage
- Demonstrable skills in programming/scripting in Bash, Python, or other languages, with automation-focused experience and a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions
