The Role

Key Responsibilities

As an Aviation Claims Investigator at Charles Taylor, you will lead meticulous investigations of complex aviation incidents from an insurance perspective, drawing on your substantial industry experience. You will critically analyse aircraft technical data, repair schemes, and claim quantum, strategically negotiating claim settlements to achieve optimal outcomes.

Essential Qualifying Criteria:

  • Proven track record of experience as an international Aviation Surveyor.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global Insurance market, with well-established industry network and relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyse and evaluate complex claims.
  • Possess first-class English communication (written and verbal) with exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Holder of a current UK CAA/EASA/CASA B1/B2 (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineer's license with at least 5 years of certifying experience on any of the following: commercial airliners, business jets/helicopters, and general aviation aircraft.
  • Completion of an Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. Managerial experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience in aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business, or general aviation aircraft, ideally including helicopters.
  • Willingness to travel overseas frequently, often at short notice.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.

Desirable:

  • Additional language(s) relevant to the Asia Pacific region.
