Job Summary

Community Services #1 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Centre Director to lead our Mawson Out of School Hours Care program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the centre's compliance with regulatory requirements and providing exceptional care and education to children.

About the Role

  • The Centre Director will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the centre, including staff supervision, budgeting, and program development.
  • They will work closely with the leadership team to ensure the centre's goals and objectives are met, and that the program is delivered in a safe and engaging environment.
  • The Centre Director will also be responsible for fostering relationships with children, families, educators, and the community, and for ensuring the centre's compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the centre's staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement programs that meet the needs of children and families, and that are aligned with the centre's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the centre's compliance with regulatory requirements, including the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Manage the centre's budget, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Foster relationships with children, families, educators, and the community, and ensure that the centre is responsive to their needs.

Requirements

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or School Age Care, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Director, Assistant Director, or Coordinator role in an Early Learning Centre or Out of School Hours Care service.
  • A current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.
  • First aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certificates.
  • A strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including My Time Our Place or the Early Years Learning Framework.
