Job Description

Job Title: Lead Educator - Mawson Out of School Hours Care Program

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at Mawson Out of School Hours Care Program. As a Lead Educator, you will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and guidance to our team of educators, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team of educators, ensuring a high-quality program that meets the needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement educational programs that promote children's learning and development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the program's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and support educators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and the community to ensure a strong and supportive network.

Requirements:

  • ACECQA-approved first qualified educator qualification (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or School Age Care, or equivalent).
  • 2 years of experience working with school-age children and 2 years in a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in any field.
  • Experience working in a Director, Assistant Director, or Coordinator role in an Early Learning Centre or Out of School Hours Care service.
  • Current ACT WWVP card or willingness to obtain.
  • First aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certificates, or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including My Time Our Place or the Early Years Learning Framework.
