This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Rural Mental Health Specialist. The successful candidate will play a vital role in addressing the mental health needs of rural communities, working closely with healthcare teams and stakeholders to develop effective pathways to care.
About the Role- Develop and implement programs to raise awareness of and address mental health issues in rural areas.
- Work collaboratively with community groups and organizations to build their capacity to respond to mental health needs.
- Provide education and support services to individuals and families affected by mental illness.
The successful candidate will be highly skilled and motivated, with relevant tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, or a related field. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence relationships with stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, or a related field.
- Mental health literacy and the ability to discuss mental health issues with a variety of people.
- Demonstrated understanding of rural and agricultural issues, particularly as they relate to mental wellbeing.
