Rural Community Mental Health Clinician

Towards Zero Suicides is a pivotal initiative aimed at preventing suicides and promoting mental well-being in rural communities.
Job Overview:This role entails working as a sole clinician within the Suicide Prevention Outreach team (SPOT) to provide after-hours care and follow-up services to individuals experiencing or recovering from suicidal distress. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, computer competency, and an applied understanding of person-centred care, trauma-informed care, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver face-to-face and telehealth services to Broken Hill and surrounding communities of the Far West LHD
- Collaborate with peer workers to deliver recovery-oriented support, including crisis response, safety planning, and advocacy
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
The successful applicant will be required to work alongside Aboriginal people in a holistic, collaborative, and respectful manner.
