Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Media Manager to play a pivotal role in promoting our mission and values. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for enhancing the visibility of RFBI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Strategic Media Plans: Align media strategies with organisational goals to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Media Relations and Communications: Create and distribute media releases, pitch stories to target media, and build strong media relationships to secure positive coverage.
- Media Management: Manage media subjects in accordance with RFBI's Media Policy and Communications Plan to ensure effective crisis communication.
- Annual Communications Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan, producing key corporate publications to engage stakeholders.
- Project Communication: Create and manage communication plans for projects and changes, including capital development, to ensure timely and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Intranet Content Management: Oversee and update content on RFBI's intranet to ensure relevance and engagement among staff.
- Corporate Events: Plan, execute, and manage corporate events and conferences to meet objectives and enhance stakeholder engagement.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly reports on communication effectiveness, analyse staff engagement, and review industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Recognised qualifications in communications or media.
- Experience: Extensive experience in creating engaging content, media releases, and managing issues.
- Community Consultation: Proven experience in community consultation for capital development projects.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to provide insights and develop plans.
- Project Management: Project management skills, including managing multiple projects and coordinating with departments.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional oral and written communication, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills, time management, and the ability to handle competing demands.
- Certifications: Current Australian Driver's Licence and Current Federal Police Check.
