Women and Children's Health Nursing Career Transition Program

At Healthscope, we are committed to providing our nurses with opportunities for growth and development. Our Women and Children's Health Nursing Career Transition Program is designed to support early career Registered Nurses in transitioning into Women and Children's nursing.

The program is a 12-month rotational program that will see you work in various areas of the Women and Children's service, including Maternity, Paediatrics, and Special Care Nursery. You will be supported by a team of expert Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Educators, clinical facilitators, and Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Specialists to ensure you meet all program objectives.

Upon completion of the program, you will be offered the opportunity to apply for entrance into the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at Healthscope or ongoing employment in Paediatrics or SCN with future opportunities to complete a graduate certificate in one of these areas.

To be eligible for this program, you must have AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse, a minimum of 2 years' experience, and the ability to work a rotating roster.
