About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Counsellor to join our team at the Centre for Women's, Children's and Family Health in Campbelltown.

As a Multidisciplinary Therapist, you will provide high-quality counselling, psychotherapy, case management, and therapeutic group work to support women who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, mental health issues, and other women's health concerns.

You will work in a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner, providing outstanding service to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face and telephone counselling services to individuals presenting with trauma, grief, identity, relationship, parenting, drug and alcohol, domestic violence, and mental health issues.
  • Engage clients using strengths-based assessments and risk minimisation processes, including safety planning.
  • Develop and implement a range of multimodal interventions from a person-centred approach to enhance the resilience and well-being of women and their children, young people, and families.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in crisis counselling, preferably working with women affected by trauma, domestic violence, and mental health issues.
  • Strong assessment and case management skills, including risk minimisation and safety planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to clients in a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
