Women and Children's Health Nursing Career Transition Program
Northern Beaches Hospital is offering early career Registered Nurses the opportunity to transition into Women and Children's nursing through our 12-month program.
You will rotate throughout the various areas of the women and children's service, including Maternity, Paediatrics, and Special Care Nursery (Neonatal), under the guidance of expert Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Educators and Clinical Midwifery/Nurse Specialists.
Upon completion of the program, you will be offered the opportunity to apply for the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at Northern Beaches Hospital or ongoing employment in Paediatrics or SCN with future opportunities to complete a graduate certificate in one of these areas.
Key Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse minimum 2 years experience
- Ability to work minimum 36 hours per week for the duration of the program (12 months)
- Ability to work a rotating roster
- Completion of a New Graduate Program (does not have to have been at NBH)
- A strong commitment to your own professional development
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in Surgical or other Specialty area (may have been part of a graduate program)

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check and a NSW Working with Children's Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
