Portfolio Manager Job Overview

The role of a portfolio manager involves overseeing the day-to-day management of a diverse range of commercial assets, ensuring they are professionally managed, compliant and performing optimally.

As a key point of contact for clients, tenants and contractors, you will be responsible for managing properties from end to end, including conducting inspections, maintaining compliance and preparing financial statements.

You will have a strong understanding of lease contracts, rent review processes and property risk registers. Your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, as well as your proficiency in financial planning and budgeting, will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of property management, including leasing, maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor property condition and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial reports
  • Develop and implement property strategies to maximize returns and minimize risks
  • Collaborate with leasing agents to reduce vacancies and improve tenant satisfaction
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in commercial or retail asset management, with experience in property valuations, lease negotiations and financial planning.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

A valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are also required.
