Job Title: Senior Asset Management Officer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Senior Asset Management Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of Coordinator-General owned land and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction to ensure effective and efficient management of Coordinator-General owned land and assets.
  • Prepare and implement the Strategic Asset Management Plan for Coordinator-General's assets in SDAs, including operational plans and risk action reports.
  • Provide strategic and policy advice on best practice asset management.
  • Develop, implement and report on pest and weed management programs, fire hazard reduction programs, and asset maintenance programs.
  • Engage with key stakeholders regarding effective management of Coordinator-General's assets across Queensland.
  • Undertake site visits and work with contractors and stakeholders on land management activities.
  • Make recommendations on land management budgets and cost recovery associated with asset management.
  • Manage complex procurement processes, including contracts for works, goods or services, and supervising technical consultants and contractors.
  • Manage and update reports on asset related data using ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Monitor compliance and risks, and undertake follow up or enforcement actions.

Work Location:

This position is available at Brisbane or Townsville.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as engineering, science, environmental management, or business administration.
  • Proven experience in asset management, project management, and/or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
