Operations Manager

- Monitor, coordinate and supervise production operations to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Assist with planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Lead systematic business improvements using process optimization techniques to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee day-to-day functions including safety, environment, people, production, maintenance, equipment management and budgeting.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and directions for the area.
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical or Process Engineering or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or process industry.
- Bayer process knowledge with experience working in Precipitation (highly regarded).
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Influential leadership skills with the ability to manage change effectively.
- Flexible leadership with experience encouraging and championing a diverse workforce.
