Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

This is a unique hybrid role combining hands-on quality oversight with strategic technical leadership. The successful candidate will ensure specialty products meet the highest safety and quality standards while driving process improvements, supplier excellence, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control checks and testing across production to maintain food safety and compliance. They will lead projects that enhance processes, supplier standards, and operational efficiency. Additionally, they will develop and maintain product specifications, recipes, and nutritional panels.

They will train and mentor production teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Furthermore, they will lead audits, CAPA, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role (hybrid - QC & Technical Lead) and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRC/SQF, and ISO 22000 standards.
  • Hands-on quality control and laboratory experience within food manufacturing.
  • An analytical problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in recipe/specification management and data-driven quality reporting.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field; HACCP/Quality certifications highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of business dynamics.
