**Job Overview**

The role of Asset Manager Assistant is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of an asset management framework for the Territories Division. This position involves working as part of a small team to administer assets within a formal asset management framework.

**Key Responsibilities**:

  • Assist in developing asset renewal and optimization business cases for low-risk capital projects;
  • Support the management of specialist consultancies and service providers, including writing detailed briefs;
  • Apply relevant asset management processes, procedures, and risk assessment techniques and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the asset management system;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Apply relevant standards, specifications, and guidelines;
  • Ensure effective asset data collection and integration processes are in place to inform capital works programs;
  • Analyze asset management performance, data, and data maturity assessments and report findings;
  • Manage and resolve asset-related inquiries within agreed timeframes and maintain accurate and timely records and reports;
  • Coordinate and contribute to strategic asset management planning and management system design;
  • Support the Asset Manager and TCMP Director to achieve section and branch objectives.

**Requirements**

The applicant will be adaptable, strong in their time management and prioritization skills, and able to quickly adapt to different operating environments. Demonstrated experience in similar roles would be advantageous. Relevant professional qualifications will also be considered.

**Desirable Attributes**:

  • Experience and knowledge in asset management, capital works planning, and maintenance planning practices;
  • Application of technical knowledge and experience to identify risks;
  • Proficiency in managing large data sets; advanced Excel skills specifically in asset management;
  • Extensive experience using asset management systems/software;
  • Ability to work well with team members;
  • Ability to work autonomously and accurately;
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and keen ability to work at high tempo for short periods and complete tasks on short notice.
