Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft comprehensive scopes of work and tender packages for subcontractors on various projects.
  • Conduct thorough investigations with subcontractors to clarify contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage the review process to ensure timely awarding of contracts within budget constraints.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register of subcontractors.
  • Minimize subcontractor variation claims and eliminate unnecessary costs.
  • Operate and maintain commercial systems, including Project Costs Reporting (PCR), Project Pack Web (PPW), MARS, Workday, and Contract Sum.
  • Ensure accurate cost forecasting and timely communication of cost issues to project management teams.
  • Interpret specifications and drawings to understand project scope at both Head Contract and Sub Contract levels.
  • Participate in identifying and quantifying Head Contracts.
  • Ensure Code compliance among subcontractors at all times.
  • Prepare variation, claim, or letter documents for Head Contract management.
  • Develop forecast sheets for projects and collaborate with the Project team on Cost Review and reporting.
  • Monthly Progress claim reviews and submissions.
  • Evaluate commercial and contractual risks associated with project delivery and implement controls.
  • Monitor compliance and prepare reports on commercial performance.
  • Process and recommend progress claims for completed work and refer disputed claims to relevant managers.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator in the Construction or Engineering industry is essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and contract management software is required.
  • Experience working on diverse project values and complexity is necessary.
  • Understanding of document control procedures and relevant legislation/code application is crucial.
  • Experience in negotiating with subcontractors is essential.
