This role is for a dedicated professional who will provide expert clinical advice and tailored care for patients preparing for transplant.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in the specialty field, and approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert clinical advice and tailored care for patients preparing for transplant, educating and empowering patients, families, and fellow health professionals, driving research initiatives in renal transplantation and chronic kidney disease, contributing to service development and leading specialty education programs, mentoring nursing staff, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will be based at Liverpool Hospital, a major health service for south-western Sydney.
Requirements:- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in the specialty field, and approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the hospital
- Ability to stay informed about the latest developments in renal care and transplantation, and apply this knowledge to practice
- Advanced clinical knowledge and ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care in complex patient scenarios
- Ability to navigate conflicts within multidisciplinary teams
