Job Title: Pavement Infrastructure Manager

The role of this position involves leading and operating the activities of pavement technical capability. This national position can be based out of offices in various cities.

About the Position

This position drives operations, technical excellence, and delivery performance of the pavement capability. The key responsibilities include providing operational, technical, and business development direction for the pavement capability to support SMEC's vision and values.

  • Capability Development: Ensure capability development and mobilization of the pavement capability nationally.
  • Client Relationships: Manage national client relationships.

The incumbent will model SMEC values, ethics, and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.

Requirements

The successful candidate will typically have 20+ years' industry experience, recognised as an authority in the transport infrastructure design market and would have undertaken manager / lead roles in similar engineering consulting organisations.

  • Project Management: Successfully manage multi-disciplinary projects, to specifications.
  • Client Relationships: Build trusting and productive client relationships.
  • Tender/Proposal Documents: Produce tender/proposal documents of an excellent standard.
  • Team Management: Manage a team effectively for performance and cohesion.
  • Local Authority: Recognised as a local authority in the sector.
