Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Principal Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join their Melbourne Buildings & Places team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading hydraulic engineering projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership on hydraulic engineering projects, ensuring high-quality designs and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver complex infrastructure projects, including aviation, health, commercial, and defense.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement hydraulic engineering solutions, using expertise to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of AECOM's hydraulic engineering services, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in a consulting environment with exposure to Australian standards and codes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications, including TAFE or engineering degree, and RPEQ registration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant industry software, such as Revit.
  • Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia is highly preferred.
