Job Title: Principal Hydraulics Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Hydraulics Engineer to join our Melbourne Buildings & Places team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading hydraulic projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hydraulic projects, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective solutions for clients, utilizing your technical expertise and experience.
  • Manage client relationships, consulting with stakeholders to determine the best hydraulic solutions.
  • Support the national Hydraulics team on various projects, enhancing your skill set and technical knowledge.
  • Design and deliver a range of hydraulic services, including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing, and drainage systems.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment, preferably with exposure to Australian standards and codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant TAFE qualification or engineering degree, alongside RPEV.
  • Full working knowledge of MS Office and relevant industry software, such as Revit.
  • Australian Citizenship or on the pathway to citizenship is highly preferred.
