About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Principal Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join their Melbourne Buildings & Places team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading hydraulics projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide cost-effective solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hydraulics projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Provide cost-effective solutions to clients, using your technical expertise to optimize hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with the national hydraulics team on various projects, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualification or engineering degree, alongside RPEV registration.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and relevant industry software, such as Revit.
