Job Description:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of vehicle trades, managing appraisals, purchasing and wholesale activities. This role requires a positive person who is committed to aligning used vehicle sales activities with the broader business plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To accurately value and assess trade-in vehicles for customers purchasing a new or used car.
  • Liaising with fleet customers to assess fleet trades.
  • Monitoring sales and product strategies, campaigns and events to optimise market share.
  • Understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes, and forming long-term business partnerships.
  • Ringing auctions and other wholesalers to determine their interest in purchasing a vehicle deemed a wholesale sale.
  • Correctly completing valuation forms and associated paperwork.
  • Assessing if vehicles have been in an accident.
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in appraising vehicles.
  • Experience with sales processes and selling techniques.
  • Experience within the Automotive industry is essential.
  • Demonstrated high-level mechanical knowledge including panel, parts, and accessories.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle models and the specifications of each model.
  • Experience in attending auctions and purchasing vehicles.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge with market value prices.
  • Proactive forward thinker with excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to profile customer needs.
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and automotive DMS systems.
  • A current Queensland Motor Dealer's Licence is required at all times.
  • Must hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
