Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Automotive Wholesale Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability within our vehicle sales operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, with experience in appraising vehicles, sales processes, and selling techniques. You will also possess high-level mechanical knowledge, including panel, parts, and accessories, as well as a strong understanding of vehicle models and their specifications.
As an Automotive Wholesale Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Valuing and assessing trade-in vehicles for customers purchasing a new or used car.
- Liaising with fleet customers to assess fleet trades.
- Monitoring sales and product strategies, campaigns, and events to optimize market share.
- Forming long-term business partnerships with customers.
- Ring auctions and other wholesalers to determine their interest in purchasing a vehicle deemed a wholesale sale.
- Completing valuation forms and associated paperwork correctly.
- Assessing if vehicles have been in an accident.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent knowledge of and experience in appraising vehicles.
- Experience with sales processes and selling techniques.
- Experience within the Automotive industry is essential.
- Demonstrated high-level mechanical knowledge including panel, parts, and accessories.
- Strong understanding of vehicle models and the specifications of each model.
- Experience in attending auctions and purchasing vehicles.
- Demonstrated current knowledge with market value prices.
- Proactive forward thinker with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to profile customer needs.
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and automotive DMS systems.
- A current Queensland Motor Dealer's Licence is required at all times.
- Must hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
