About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Accounts Officer to join our team at WA PCYC. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing bank reconciliations, month end journals, and managing accounts payable and receivables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices and expense claims, ensuring accurate documentation is attached.
  • Accounts Receivable invoicing, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of payments.
  • Manage the bank reconciliation process for all bank accounts.
  • Ensure all month end tasks are completed on time and status is updated regularly.
  • Assist the finance team in preparing annual statutory financial statements to reporting standards and all aspects of the annual audit process as directed by the Finance Manager.

About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of accounting.
  • Well-developed computer skills, including MS Office Suite and accounting software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Formal qualifications in accounting and bookkeeping (desirable).
