Culture Care Connect Suicide Prevention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Culture Care Connect Suicide Prevention Worker.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, who continue to be disproportionately affected by suicide and suicidal ideation.
The Culture Care Connect program aims to address this inequality by providing trauma-aware, healing-informed aftercare services that take into account the intersection of AOD, SEWB, and other complementary programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assertive and timely follow-up care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people referred to the service following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis.
- Work closely with the co-designed aftercare model of care to ensure that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Collaborate with other health professionals and community members to develop and deliver culturally informed aftercare services.
- Provide clinical and cultural supervision to ensure that services are of the highest quality and meet the needs of the community.
