Academic Library Services Specialist

This is a full-time continuing position with a salary range of $89,000 to $96,000 per annum, plus a generous superannuation allowance of up to 17%.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced librarian to join our team in providing comprehensive library services and supporting teaching, learning, and research at The University of Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, deliver, and evaluate information and digital literacy programs to support the academic community.
- Provide expert advice on research, research evaluation, and impact, including research data management, to students and staff.
- Develop, publish, and maintain library content in digital formats, including learning resources and online guides.
- Contribute to the evaluation and management of the library's collection, including learning resources and digital materials.
- Provide advanced information and advice on library resources and UQ systems to students and staff.
- Communicate proactively with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
- Participate in library projects and contribute effectively to the library team.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced librarian who possesses:
- Relevant qualifications for associate membership in the Australian Library and Information Association or equivalent experience in academic, research, or special libraries.
- Demonstrated understanding of current trends in research, learning, and teaching within academic institutions.
- Substantial knowledge of information resources, including current tools and technologies used in academic libraries.
- Substantial experience in delivering information services to support research, learning, and teaching, including providing advice on search strategies and systematic reviews.
- Demonstrated ability to provide client-focused advanced information assistance and information and digital literacy programs through a variety of flexible delivery options.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
