Academic Library Services Specialist

This is a full-time continuing position with a salary in the range of $89,000 to $96,000, plus a generous superannuation allowance of up to 17%.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, deliver, and evaluate information and digital literacy programs to support research, learning, and teaching.
- Provide expert advice on research, research evaluation, and impact, including research data management.
- Develop, publish, and maintain library content in digital formats, contributing to the evaluation and management of the library's collection, including learning resources.
- Provide advanced information and advice on library resources and systems, communicating proactively with clients and participating in library projects.
- Perform other duties as reasonably directed by your supervisor.
- You must hold relevant qualifications for associate membership in the Australian Library and Information Association or have equivalent experience in academic, research, or special libraries.
- You should have a demonstrated understanding of current trends in research, learning, and teaching within academic institutions.
- You should possess substantial knowledge of information resources, including current tools and technologies used in academic libraries.
- You should have substantial experience in delivering information services to support research, learning, and teaching, such as providing advice on search strategies and systematic reviews.
- You should be able to provide client-focused advanced information assistance and information and digital literacy programs through various flexible delivery options.
- You should demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
