Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Regional Development Officer. This role will play a critical part in supporting the planning, development, and implementation of projects that drive policy and program outcomes in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with communities, government agencies, and non-government organizations to facilitate effective project delivery.
  • Lead designated projects that align with policy and program objectives, and develop solutions to regional and local issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Coordinate teams to manage, coordinate, and implement projects, ensuring highly effective and outcome-focused programs.
  • Develop procurement and contracting strategies in partnership with industry partners to maximize benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities, and businesses.
  • Monitor and report on measurable outcomes achieved for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities, and businesses through procurement, contracting, and grant-related activities.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management on responses to critical issues impacting communities and the effectiveness of government services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project coordination, community engagement, and relationship building.
  • Strong understanding of government policies and initiatives impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide strategic advice to inform whole-of-government service delivery responses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
