Randstad have partnered with The Department of State Development and Infrastructure to Recruit 5 x Senior Economic Development Officer's A06 for their Mount Isa, Mackay, Rockhampton/Gladstone, Bundaberg and Toowoomba offices (1 per office) for a 12 month contract flexible full-time Non-permanent role Until 30 September 2025.

Your team:

The Senior Economic Development officer develops and promotes the international competitiveness and capability of Queensland's, hydrogen, biofutures, biomedical, defence, mining equipment, technology and services, resource recovery industries, space, aerospace and superyachts. The State Development regional teams across Queensland coordinate the delivery of initiatives such as departmental programs and workshops, to link industry and regional business and grow regional supply chains and productivity.

Your responsibilities:

Assist with the delivery and contract management (through client engagement and Smarty Grants reporting) of Government funded projects through the Regional Economic Futures Fund (REFF). Assist with industry development activities including undertaking research and engaging with key stakeholders including businesses, infrastructure providers and local government.Assist in reviewing reports, studies and data as requested in funding agreements Preparing reports, written briefings and other documentation.Monitor project milestones and regional outcomes in project management systems.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and groups.Collect local intelligence information through regional networks and connections with industry, local government, Queensland Government agencies, peak industry bodies and other key stakeholders.
