Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to oversee G/L reconciliations for NEP Australia. This role is essential in fostering a collaborative environment within our finance team, contributing to our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate monthly management reports for inclusion in the Board pack, providing insights and recommendations for any anomalies for the Corporate Accountant's review.
  2. Ensure the accuracy of the trial balance by performing monthly G/L reconciliations for the Corporate Accountant's assessment.
  3. Support the statutory audit process as required by the Corporate Accountant.
  4. Manage the additions and deletions in the chart of accounts.
  5. Prepare BAS for submission by the Corporate Accountant.
  6. Review all reconciliations conducted by the Accounts Officer for customers and suppliers.
  7. Record all recurring and standing monthly journal entries.
  8. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations.
  9. Prepare monthly variance analyses for the parent entity, NEP Group, and departmental P&L, providing commentary for the Finance Manager's review.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  1. Completion of CPA or CA qualifications.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  3. Strong team collaboration skills.
  4. Ability to take initiative within assigned responsibilities.
  5. Capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  6. Sound business judgment in interactions with staff and external stakeholders.
