Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Accountant to handle G/L reconciliations for NEP Australia. This role is crucial in supporting our finance team and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Role Details
This is a full-time hybrid role based at our head office and plays a vital part in our Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compile monthly management reports for inclusion in the Board pack and recommend actions for any discrepancies for review by the Corporate Accountant.
  2. Ensure the accuracy of the trial balance by completing monthly G/L reconciliations for the Corporate Accountant's review.
  3. Assist with statutory audits as needed by the Corporate Accountant.
  4. Manage updates to the chart of accounts.
  5. Prepare BAS for submission by the Corporate Accountant.
  6. Review all reconciliations prepared by the Accounts Officer for customers and suppliers.
  7. Post all recurring and standing monthly journal entries.
  8. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations.
  9. Prepare monthly variance analyses for the parent entity and departmental P&L, providing commentary for the Finance Manager's review.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  1. Completion of CPA or CA qualifications.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  3. Strong team collaboration skills.
  4. Ability to take initiative within assigned responsibilities.
  5. Capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Sound business judgment in interactions with staff and external parties.
