Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to manage G/L reconciliations for NEP Australia. This individual will play a vital role in our finance team, contributing positively to our collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Compile monthly management reports for the Board pack and suggest actions for any discrepancies for the Corporate Accountant's review.
  2. Ensure the accuracy of the trial balance by completing monthly G/L reconciliations for the Corporate Accountant's assessment.
  3. Support the statutory audit process as required by the Corporate Accountant.
  4. Manage additions and deletions in the chart of accounts.
  5. Prepare BAS for submission by the Corporate Accountant.
  6. Review reconciliations of customers and suppliers prepared by the Accounts Officer.
  7. Record all recurring and standing monthly journal entries.
  8. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations.
  9. Generate monthly variance analyses for the parent entity NEP Group and departmental P&L, providing commentary for the Finance Manager's review.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Completion of CPA or CA qualifications.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  3. Strong team collaboration skills.
  4. Ability to take initiative within assigned responsibilities.
  5. Capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Sound business judgment in interactions with staff and external stakeholders.
