About the Role

Catholic Healthcare is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the financial records, transactions, and taxation compliance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Monitor and review financial data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Identify and/or participate in initiatives to improve and streamline finance processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce (or equivalent)
  • CPA / CA / CIMA Qualified or in the process of completing - preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft AX - preferred
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in financial accounting, corporate finance, or similar
  • Technically strong accounting principles knowledge, financial regulations, and reporting standards
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in Aged Care/Healthcare/NDIS – Preferred
  • Willingness to obtain a Police Check
