Core Data Platforms Solution Architect Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of end-to-end architectural solutions for our Core Data Platforms squad. This role involves collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to drive business outcomes across multiple portfolios.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Define solution architectures across current, transitional, and future states.
  • Lead the design and integration of Databricks solutions for Core Data Platforms.
  • Champion reuse, scalability, security, and compliance in every design.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and ensure architecture alignment.
  • Mentor architects and analysts while collaborating with vendors and partners.
  • Contribute to architectural standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Influence IT strategy and technology roadmaps through expert insight.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in solution architecture, ideally within financial services.
  • Minimum 5 years in IT, with 3+ years in architecture or design roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks, cloud platforms, data architecture, and APIs.
  • Experience architecting using cloud-based data platforms.
  • Background in software design, agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • TOGAF certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work across multiple squads, balancing business outcomes and technical depth.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies or environments is highly desirable: AWS, DBT, Fivetran, Redshift, cloud hosting, cloud infrastructure.
