Cloud Architecture Expert

Our organization is seeking a Cloud Architecture Expert to join its data and analytics team, operating in an agile environment. The team's mission is to build bridges between different tooling, infrastructure, and business services.

This role will focus on ensuring progress towards the agreed technical vision and architecture for enterprise services products. You will be one of the driving forces behind their architecture, design, engineering, and quality standards across the development process.

As a Cloud Architecture Expert, you will coach, champion, and practice great engineering principles while empowering the squads you support to uplift their capability and quality.

You will help create a great team culture by role-modeling technical standards, behaviours, collaborative approach, and mindset to your fellow engineers.

Required Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in cloud transformation programs, deeply understand and leverage data integration patterns, experience in building data transformation middleware solutions, be a cloud expert in popular stacks (Azure, AWS, GCP), and hands-on designing experience building and deploying enterprise-grade cloud-enabled solutions to production that are functional, scalable, resilient, and performant meeting business non-functional requirements.

Experience with Python, Java/Scala/TypeScript, and familiarity with relational databases like Postgres, MSSQL, etc.

Experience building and running services using CI/CD and DevOps best practices.

Experience with Snowflake or Databricks.

Experience with Big Data tooling, such as Apache Spark/Kafka.

Experience working and leading high-performing teams while coaching them to success using agile methodologies, good engineering principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience building solutions in cloud-native and mixed environments.
