Bistro and Functions Manager

Location: Keilor | Sports Club

Employment Type: Part-Time

Are you enthusiastic about community involvement and excel in a lively, hands-on setting? This dynamic Soccer Club, a cherished non-profit entity in the North Western Suburbs, is in search of a committed and lively Part-Time Functions and Bistro Manager. This dual-role position presents a distinctive chance to engage in both Bistro operations and the oversight of various functions and events.

Working Hours: 22-38 hours per week; availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Bistro Management:

  • Supervise daily Bistro operations, including staff management, training, and coaching.
  • Actively participate in Bistro activities, ensuring efficient and smooth service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, inventory control, and operational systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive, engaging environment.

Functions Management:

  • Oversee all elements of functions and events, from initial setup to final pack-down.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure seamless event execution.
  • Identify and cultivate new leads for functions and event spaces.
  • Organize events accommodating up to 180 guests, managing all logistical needs.
  • Engage with the community to promote the Soccer Club's event offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience is essential.
  • Experience in Bistro operations is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work actively in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and train a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and operational systems is required.
  • RSA and Food Safety Handling certifications are mandatory.
  • Barista experience is a plus but not required.
