Job Title: Bistro and Functions Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Bistro and Functions Manager. This is a part-time role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the Bistro operations and the management of various functions and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bistro Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the Bistro, including staff supervision, training, and coaching.
    • Hands-on involvement in Bistro activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
    • Manage rostering, inventory, and system operations (including Blue Eye).
    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, engaging atmosphere.
  • Functions Management:
    • Coordinate all aspects of functions and events, from initial setup to pack-down.
    • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure events run smoothly.
    • Find and develop new leads for functions and event space.
    • Organise events for up to 180 people, managing requirements and logistics.
    • Connect with the community to promote the Soccer Club's event offerings.
Requirements:
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Experience in Bistro operations preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work hands-on in a busy environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and train a team.
  • Proficiency with rostering and systems, including Blue Eye.
  • RSA and Food Safety Handling certifications are mandatory.
  • Barista experience is preferred but not essential.
