Production Technician Position

Key qualifications and skills for the role of Production Technician include experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within ceramics or advanced materials processing. The ability to operate complex production machinery is essential, as is basic computer proficiency for programming equipment and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities will include operating kilns and presses, managing equipment maintenance, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision are also crucial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the precision production of cutting-edge ceramic products, ensuring all raw material and work in progress are suitably identified and traceability requirements have been correctly implemented.

  • Kiln Operations: Operating kilns, loading and unloading products, precise operation and programming of kiln profiles in conjunction with batch card instructions.
  • Press Room Operations: Operating ceramic presses, performing critical density checks to meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Material Processing Support: Assisting the team with various stages of new batch material manufacturing, such as Ball Milling, Filter Pressing, and operating Spray Drying equipment.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proven ability to operate complex production machinery.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for programming equipment and administrative tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and physical capability for the demands of the role.
