Production Planning Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to optimize our manufacturing operations and drive efficiency improvements.

  • As our Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive production schedules, analyzing sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to optimize workflow, and coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams for material availability.
  • You will also monitor work orders and production status to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensure efficient allocation of resources including labor, equipment, and materials, and analyze capacity and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • In addition, you will adjust production plans dynamically in response to demand changes, equipment issues, or material shortages, collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards, and maintain accurate production metrics, inventory records, and schedule performance data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling & Planning
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Operations Management
    • Monitor work orders and production status to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Strategic Support
    • Adjust production plans dynamically in response to demand changes, equipment issues, or material shortages

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Alternative: Equivalent experience in production planning roles
  • 2-4 years minimum experience in production planning within manufacturing environments

Technical Skills:

  • ERP/MRP Systems: Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials flow, and shop floor operations
  • Analytical Capabilities: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
