Role Summary

Seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to provide direct care in a residential setting, promoting a safe and nurturing home-like environment for young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, fostering positive relationships with their families.
  • Work collaboratively within a trauma-informed framework to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
Requirements
  1. Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent qualification, or working towards completion.
  2. Valid Australian full driver's license for the state applied for.
  3. Australian working rights.
  4. Willingness to undergo a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check.
  5. Hold or willing to obtain Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid, and CPR qualifications.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Availability to work varied shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers.
  • Passion for supporting young people with disabilities and those who have experienced trauma.
