We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Accor, a leading hospitality company with a global network of over 4000 hotels in more than 90 countries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and train junior chefs to ensure consistent high-quality food production.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, and assist with ordering necessary food items.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene legislation, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that guest feedback is actioned and communicated to the team.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef or equivalent in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards.
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques.
- Completion of a Chef Apprenticeship or a Certificate in commercial cookery.
- Good food hygiene and safety knowledge, including safe and accurate knife skills.
- Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
