Global Director - Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

This role will lead the Global MEL team and drive a step-change in how we measure, learn from, and communicate our impact.

  • Overseeing the design and delivery of Movember's global MEL function to ensure projects and programs contribute to our charitable goals.
  • Leading the refresh of Movember's MEL strategy, including a clear framework for applying different evaluation approaches aligned to resources, capabilities, and priorities.
  • Introducing a Learning strategy to embed organisational learning, support evidence-based decision-making, and inform strategic priorities.
  • Shaping the MEL operating model and building capacity across the organisation.
  • Managing and mentoring evaluation specialists across Movember's core markets.
  • Engaging stakeholders to ensure effective communication and use of evaluation findings to inform action.
  • Leading Movember's implementation science agenda.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, requiring deep evaluation expertise and strong organisational leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing MEL strategies in health contexts.
  • Managing high-performing teams and building organisational MEL capability.
  • Connecting research outputs to decision-making and organisational learning.
  • Stakeholder management, including global experience.
  • Strategic thinking, with excellent attention to detail.

We are seeking an exceptional individual with a passion for doing good. Key requirements include:

  • A postgraduate degree in a health-related field.
  • Extensive experience in research & evaluation project design and implementation.
  • No less than 10 years in scientific, population health, or health policy roles.
  • Proven ability to connect research outputs to decision-making and organisational learning.
