Public Affairs Director: Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Director to join our team. This role is responsible for conceiving and delivering strategic branded and unbranded communication programmes, community engagement, corporate giving, plus corporate and employee communication intended to protect and enhance our corporate reputation.

This position requires a strong leader who can work closely with colleagues within the organization and globally. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

The successful candidate will be a member of the ANZ cross-functional leadership team and the ACE Public Affairs Leadership Team. They will work closely with Public Affairs colleagues within ACE and globally to achieve our organizational goals.

This role involves conceiving and delivering strategic communication programmes, developing effective internal and external communications, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and media representatives
  • Conduct research to identify trends and best practices in public affairs and develop recommendations for implementation
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on public affairs activities and outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination
