Cleared Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Lead to join our team and support the growth of our Defence industry clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Defence industry to identify potential customers, opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Customer Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers within Defence agencies nationally and internationally.
- Understand their unique requirements, challenges, and procurement processes.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the current portfolio and ever-changing niche bespoke requirements.
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of customers.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with customers to secure contracts and agreements and ensure favourable terms and conditions for both parties.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set for the Defence industry accounts.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successful Business Development or sales experience in the Defence industry.
- Knowledge of Defence industry procurement processes and regulations.
- Network of Defence industry stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand and explain complex requirements and solutions.
- Security clearances – NV1 as a minimum.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
