Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Defence industry to identify potential customers, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers within Defence agencies nationally and internationally.
  • Understand their unique requirements, challenges, and procurement processes.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the current portfolio and ever-changing niche bespoke requirements.
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of customers.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with customers to secure contracts and agreements and ensure favourable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set for the Defence industry accounts.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successful Business Development or sales experience in the Defence industry.
  • Knowledge of Defence industry procurement processes and regulations.
  • Network of Defence industry stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand and explain complex requirements and solutions.
  • Security clearances – NV1 as a minimum.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
