Join our Electronics, Physics & I.T. team as a registered patent attorney in Melbourne.

This role offers the opportunity to work with clients who are pushing the frontiers of innovation and technology. You will be responsible for developing IP protection strategies tailored to client needs and reporting to experienced Principals in EPIT.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally.
  • Preparing high-quality written and verbal IP advice in a timely manner.
  • Managing intellectual property portfolios for local and international clients.
  • Developing and executing IP strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Preparing and delivering IP-related articles and presentations internally and externally.
About You:

You are a degree-qualified (or higher) Australian or New Zealand patent attorney in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering, or a related technical field.

You will also possess 1-3 years post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above technical fields, managing IP portfolios and developing IP strategies for Australian and international applicants.
