Job Overview

The Senior Subcontract Specialist is responsible for managing supply chain aspects of development sub-projects and incremental upgrades for the MQ-28.

They will identify gaps in the supply chain and create novel strategies to mitigate risks and deliver capability to the program.

  • Be the focal point for suppliers and program stakeholders, providing guidance and advice on all aspects of supplier capabilities.
  • Lead supplier contracting activities, including developing timely and high-quality supplier procurements and contract administration/execution.
  • Manage a close working relationship with suppliers as an Authorised Procurement Agent.

Contribute directly to the success of the MQ-28 supply chain and production of this world-leading capability.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a collaborative team approach, well-developed analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Formal qualifications in a related discipline (Law, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain Management).
  • At least 5-8 years' experience in Supplier Management, Procurement, and Contracting roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management to drive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, contract management, and procurement throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IP, liabilities, insurance, indemnities, pricing, and procurement concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Defence industry.
