Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Management Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract administration, with expertise in managing high-value and high-risk contracts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality and timely contract administration services, including monitoring performance through formal review meetings with contract managers and suppliers.

They will also provide advice and structured support for routine sourcing activities undertaken by the Program, including contingent labour engagements.

Additionally, they will provide expert advice on contract issues as required by the Program, including extensions, renewals, variations, and escalation of underperformance and complaints that cannot be resolved locally.

The Contract Management Professional will establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners, and external service suppliers.

They will conduct site visits as necessary to forge and maintain productive relationships, enabling swift identification and resolution of issues.

The role requires a high level of expertise in contract management policies, procedures, or frameworks, preferably in government or public sector environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP and be proficient in Queensland Government Procurement Certification.

  1. Provide high-quality and timely contract administration for the Program's high-value and high-risk contracts stream or the general contracts stream, including monitoring performance through formal review meetings with contract managers and suppliers.
  2. Provide advice and structured support for routine sourcing activities undertaken by the Program, including contingent labour engagements.
  3. Provide expert advice on contract issues as required by the Program, including extensions, renewals, variations, and escalation of underperformance and complaints that cannot be resolved locally.
  4. Prepare contract variations and extensions, ensuring appropriate processes and documentation are maintained.
  5. Establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners, and external service suppliers.
  6. Conduct site visits as necessary to forge and maintain productive relationships, enabling swift identification and resolution of issues.
  7. Lead the development, review, and endorsement of contractual documentation for complex, medium to high-risk strategic contracts.
  8. Conduct vendor and supply chain management, analysis, planning, and reporting.
  9. Promote a culture of service delivery and high performance, encouraging personal and team development and work/life balance.
  10. Lead, mentor, coach, and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and motivation to perform effectively.
  11. Contribute to divisional business planning and resource prioritisation.
  12. Provide professional input to the development of procurement policies, systems, and procedures.
  13. Enhance the capability and profile of Contract Management within the organization and develop staff expertise.
  14. Perform other duties as required.
